The name Ofrio is crafted from “African Origin”. Ofrio was born from a desire to reconnect Africans with their natural hair heritage.
Over time many Africans have relied heavily on wigs, extensions and harsh chemical treatments causing many to lose confidence in their natural hair. Ofrio Hair believes African hair is beautiful, versatile and worth celebration.
By combining African botanical ingredients with modern cosmetic science, the brand creates products that nourish the scalp, strengthen hair and promote healthy growth.

THE FOUNDER
Bridging science
& tradition.
Growing up surrounded by the rich flora of Uganda, I witnessed early on how plant-based remedies were used to nourish, heal, and restore.
But as I navigated the modern hair care landscape, I saw a persistent disconnect: store shelves were filled with harsh, synthetic products that ignored the unique needs of textured hair, while traditional botanical wisdom was often left behind.
Caring for African hair was too often framed as a struggle. I knew there had to be a better way—one that celebrated Afro-textured hair rather than trying to alter it.
Combining a deep foundation in herbalism, botanical formulation, and modern cosmetic science, I set out to bridge the gap between traditional African wisdom and high-performance beauty.
That passion birthed Ofrio.
